One Piece fans : for the seventh year in a row, the manga was the best-selling in Japan. According to Oricon, 14.1 million copies were sold between December 1, 2014, and November 30, 2015 – 18% higher than the performance of Eiichiro Oda's manga last year.
Since One Piece gained more volumes in 2015 (four, from 76 to 79) than in 2014 (when three came out, from 73 to 75), this explains the percentage increase. In any case, the pirate adventure has led the ranking since 2009. The Seven Deadly Sins comes in second, which owes much of its popularity to the anime aired on Japanese television between October 2014 and March of this year.
