The official Twitter of the editorial department of Weekly Shonen Jump then revealed that the One Piece manga will not appear in the 44th issue of the magazine as had been planned.
The editorial department explained that the manga is taking a break due to author Eiichiro Oda sudden illness .
The secretariat informed that Oda is recovering and that the manga will return in the 46th edition of the magazine, which will therefore be released on October 17th .
One Piece has also experienced delays due to COVID-19 . Oda warned in May that further delays were possible as his team reorganized the workspace to facilitate social distancing.
