Shortly after the release of episode 1078, Ishitani revealed in her post that the opening had undergone subtle changes. However, she says she was surprised that fans quickly noticed the animation changes. The director then goes on to say that Bartolomeo will also undergo a minor change.

"Actually, the opening has undergone minor changes since episode 1077 aired last week... I'm glad some people noticed. In fact, there are about 20 changes, such as color, processing, timing, etc. There's one more minor change in next week's Barto's Secret Room (it would be amazing if anyone noticed...)"

It didn't take long for the director's message to catch fans' attention and make them pay attention to the changes. They were encouraged to create a montage of images to showcase the changes they saw.

Synopsis:

The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a rubber body after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (the Rubber Fruit). Inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Red-Haired Shanks, Luffy decided to become a pirate and set sail across the sea to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the Pirate King.
