Every otaku knows that Dragon Ball and One Piece are possibly the most famous anime/manga in history, which means that both works have a huge legion of fans. However, some groups like to debate to decide which is the best anime and this happened recently on the internet due to the preview of Luffy's new transformation.

While One Piece fans claim that the awakening of Gear 5 will shake up the anime industry, Dragon Ball fans claim that the latest episode of Dragon Ball Super is unsurpassed. In March 2018, the last episode of the Tournament of Power saga was shown and its audience impact was unimaginable.

Several groups from Latin American countries gathered that day to watch the final episode of Dragon Ball Super in stadiums and public squares. Eventually, the anime generated all this repercussions in their final fight when Goku and Frieza worked together to defeat Jiren.

On the other hand, One Piece fans are betting that Luffy's long-awaited episode will surpass this record from the end of the Tournament of Power.

Check out fan comments:

  • It won't even come close to what Dragon Ball managed to do, it hurts whoever it hurts.
  • Of course, people from all over the world will definitely gather to see this episode of One Piece by the hundreds.
  • Sure it's going to be an epic episode of One Piece, but to say it's going to break the Internet? I doubt it.
