One Piece Stampede anime website posted a new poster with the film's visuals. The poster was designed by the series' author, Eiichiro Oda . The film premieres on August 9, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of its anime.

Fuji TV describes the film's synopsis:
"The world's largest pirate expo, by the pirates, for the pirates—the Pirate Festival. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat crew receive an invitation from their host, Buena Festa, known as the master of festivities. Upon arriving, they find the place packed with glamorous pavilions and several pirates, including those from the worst generation. The place is electric."
