One Piece fan theories, especially as the series delves deeper into the Final Saga, are constantly circulating in the community. Furthermore, it seems Oda has almost given enough information for fans to finally begin piecing together the mysteries of the One Piece world.
One particular theory proposes to explain how the enormous stone wall, the Red Line , in One Piece actually came to be. While many assumed it was a natural peculiarity, this theory may have an alternative solution. Instead of being a natural structure, this theory implies that the Red Line is an artificial construct created by the World Government.
One Piece and its strange geography

In the work, the geography of the world, despite being quite strange, is relatively simple. The world itself is divided into four seas: the North Blue, the South Blue, the East Blue, and the West Blue. Outside these seas, dividing the entire world, are two enormous territories, the Red Line and the Grand Line, which travel completely around the globe.
However, running perpendicular to the Grand Line is a massive stone wall called the Red Line. This virtually impenetrable stone wall is home to some interesting locations, including Reverse Mountain, the entrance to the Grand Line, and the World Government capital, the Sacred City of Mary Geoise. Outside of this area, the wall itself is almost uninhabited, making it simply a large expanse of stone that acts as a natural barrier, separating the four main seas into quadrants.
Theory of the origin of the Red Line

Thus, despite seeming natural, a theory posted on Reddit by loulou1s explains that the mountain may have been artificially created by the World Nobles themselves in the past. The post explains that, after winning a war in the ancient history of One Piece , Imu and the World Government created the Red Lines as a means of dividing the world to make it easier to contain each nation and as a way to place the Sacred City above all others. Initially made from the remains of blood-soaked earth after the first war, this location was nicknamed the Red Line.
On the other hand, with the revelation of the Ancient Giants who were eliminated in the Elbaf Arc, the theorist believes that these giants were forced to create the Red Line for the World Government. Thus, from here, in creating the Red Line, the giants who were forced to build it eventually died, completing their task, explaining the absence of the Ancient Giants from One Piece in the modern era. However, the theory goes on to explain that if Luffy eventually destroys the Red Line, another popular theory, he will free the souls of those who lost their lives while building the structure.
This theory fits with other One Piece theories

In short, this theory, especially with the new evidence from the work, makes a lot of sense. Furthermore, it works well with other popular One Piece theories, giving Luffy a potential reason to destroy the Red Line.
Ultimately, this One Piece theory is just one of many that have emerged following the massive story revealed in Elbaf. Right now, the new information surrounding the Void Century has been the biggest revelation in the series since the appearance of Gear 5 in Wano.
