Wit Studio revealed at the Jump Festa '24 event this Sunday (17) that it is producing a remake of the One Piece for Netflix , titled “The One Piece” . According to a Tweet released, the anime series is adapting from the East Blue Saga , suggesting the possibility of covering more than that saga, although there is no confirmation.

Therefore, the remake is being developed to celebrate the anime's 25th anniversary.
Synopsis
The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a rubber body after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (the Rubber Fruit). He was inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Red-Haired Shanks. Seeking to become Pirate King, Luffy sets out on a journey across the sea in search of the mythical treasure, the One Piece.
Finally, in celebration of One Piece's 25th anniversary, the official YouTube channel launched a new linear broadcast of the anime on October 29th, called "ANYTIME ONEPIECE." The broadcast began with the anime's first episode and is scheduled to continue throughout the next year, restricted to Japan. Additionally, new episodes will be added as they air on television.
