My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The second season of One-Punch Man was finally announced by the team at a closed event called " One Punch Man Fall Festival ," and in addition to the new season, a smartphone game is being developed for 2017.

The first 12 episodes of the first season were produced by Madhouse and directed by Shingo Natsume , airing in Japan between October and December 2015. Currently, Viz Media and Daisuki stream the series outside of Japan in the international market.

One Punch-Man in Japan is a webcomic created by the author under the pseudonym ONE, and published since 2009. The series quickly became a phenomenon in Japan, reaching over 7.9 million hits by June 2012. The work's name, Wanpanman, is a parody of the character Anpanman (the word pan (パン?) is not a standard abbreviation for punch).

The story of the first season of the One-Punch Man takes place in a fictional Japanese city called City Z, where various strange monsters appear and cause numerous disasters. These monsters are usually the result of a crazy experiment or a genetic mutation. Saitama, the protagonist, is an incredibly strong hero who easily defeats these monsters or other villains with a single punch. However, due to his overwhelming strength, Saitama has become bored and is constantly trying to find stronger opponents who can fight him on equal terms.

Saitama meets new friends, enemies, and his own disciple, the cyborg Genos, where the two join the Hero Association in order to gain recognition for all their efforts in defeating evil. Despite defeating many powerful monsters that even the most powerful heroes of the Association are unable to defeat, Saitama strives to earn respect. Most people come to disrespect him due to his simple physical appearance, and some accuse him of being a fake hero. Only a small number of individuals recognize his incredible talent and humility towards others.

One-Punch Man has arrived in Brazil, courtesy of Panini!

A digital manga remake was illustrated by Yusuke Murata and published by Shueisha's Young Jump Web Comics in 2012. In English-speaking countries, the series is published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine by Viz Media. In Brazil, the manga has been published by Panini since March 2016.
