The August issue of Kadokawa 's Shounen Ace revealed that artist Airi Mori will launch a spin-off manga of the Oreimo . The manga will focus on the character Kuroneko and is scheduled to debut in the next issue of the magazine, which launches on July 26th.
The manga is based on the novel that explore an alternate ending where the character Kyousuke ends up with Kuroneko. The volumes in question are volumes 15 and 16. It's worth noting that volumes 13 and 14 of the light novel also had a similar concept, but focused on the character Ayase.
Artist Sakura Ikeda illustrated the manga adaptation of the original light novel, but she also illustrated the manga Oreimo : Kuroneko (Ore no Kouhai ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai), which debuted in 2011. That manga also featured a storyline focused on an alternate continuity centered on Kyousuke and Kuroneko.
The Oreimo light novel was published between 2008 and 2013. Furthermore, it's worth noting that the work received an anime in 2010, and subsequently a second season in 2013.
