JBC announced the publication of manga in Portuguese during the profile's live broadcast last Wednesday (26).
Buddha was originally published between 1972 and 1983, and is one of Tezuka's final works. The manga reflects the author's reflections on the story of Buddha, earning the work Eisner Awards in 2004 and 2005.
Tezuka is remembered as the “Father of Modern Manga” because he was responsible for popularizing the genre.
There will be eight volumes in total, price and forecast have not yet been released.
