Akane Kurokawa has become one of the most popular characters in Oshi no Ko since her appearance in episode 6 of the anime. She also made it onto Anime Trending 's top 10 female characters , taking first place in the polls.

Many Oshi no Ko fans felt empathy for Akane after the character suffered such a sad and touching situation in the anime. As a result, her popularity steadily grew until she became the most popular female anime character of that season.

According to the latest poll by the website Anime Trending, Akane ranked first on the list of the top 10 female anime characters. This was a big deal for Akane and the website, as she is the first new character on the list to have already ranked first in the polls from the outset. Additionally, other characters from Oshi no Ko are also on the list, with Kana Arima coming in second and Ruby Hoshino seventh.

Synopsis:

The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. So Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.

Thus , Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's Salto Jovem in 2020. Volume 12 of the manga was published on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
