Oshi no Ko 's opening song , "Idol," by YOASOBI , topped YouTube's global Top Songs chart for the week of June 30 to July 6. However, the song also broke records on other platforms, accumulating 300 million views.

According to Oricon, "Idol" had 300 million views on Japanese streaming platforms and remained at number one on the platforms for 13 consecutive weeks. Thus, the opening of Oshi no Ko became the fastest song to surpass 300 million views in Japan.
Additionally, the song has broken other records before, reaching number one on Apple Music's Top 100 on June 21st and was also the first Japanese song to reach number one on Billboard Global on June 10th.
Synopsis:
The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. So Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.
Anyway , Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's Young Jump in 2020. Volume 11 of the manga was released on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
