Oshi no Ko: Live-action has its first trailer announced

On social media, fans were able to watch the first trailer for the live-action version of the manga Oshi no Ko. Therefore, the series will premiere in November 2024 on Prime Video .

Therefore, the same live-action series of Oshi no Ko will have 8 episodes, which will also be adapted for the cinema version, whose premiere is scheduled for December 20, 2024.

Production team Smith (Inside Mari, I Want to Hold Aono-kun So Badly I Could Die, Ikimono-gakari music videos, Ketsumeishi, Snow Man) is in charge of directing the project, while Hana Matsumoto (Kimi to Nara Koi or Shitemite mo) is in charge of the television series. Ayako Kitagawa (Tokyo Love Story, Laid-Back Camp) is responsible for writing and supervising the scripts. The band FOX CAPTURE PLAN (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Lupine III vs. Cat's Eye) is responsible for composing the soundtrack.

Oshi no Ko Synopsis

The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. So Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought.

The manga Oshi no Ko by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, with its chapters organized into fourteen tankōbon volumes until April 2024. Finally in Brazil, the manga was licensed for release in Brazil by Panini Mangás.
