Shueisha Oshi no Ko manga for a month due to the health issues of its author, Aka Akasaka . Additionally, Renai Daiko , another manga written by Akasaka, will also be on hiatus next month.

In his message, Akasaka apologizes for this long hiatus and also thanks his colleagues, Nishizawa 5mm and Mengo Yokoyari, for their support.

 “I lost my temper a while ago. As a result of the argument, I took a month-long break. We apologize for the month-long hiatus. As I write this, I'm back at work. I'm writing in the best of conditions.

I'll do my best from now on, so please look forward to reopening. Also, I'd like to thank Mengo-sensei and 5mm-sensei for kindly accepting my hiatus."

Therefore, Oshi no Ko, illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, will return on September 14th. Meanwhile, Renai Daiko, illustrated by Nishizawa 5mm, will return on September 5th.

Synopsis:

The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. So Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.

Finally , Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's Young Jump in 2020. Volume 12 of the manga was released on July 19, 2023 in Japan.
