Oshi no Ko 's opening song , “Idol” by YOASOBI , ranked first on YouTube's global Top Songs list for the week of June 30th to July 6th. However, the song also broke records on other platforms until it accumulated 300 million views.

According to Oricon, “Idol” had 300 million streams in Japan and ranked first on the platforms for 13 consecutive weeks. Thus, the opening of Oshi no Ko became the fastest song to surpass 300 million views in Japan.
Furthermore, the song has broken other records before, ranking first on Apple's Top 100 Music Chart on June 21st and was also the first Japanese song to rank first on Billboard Global on June 10th.
Synopsis:
The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old “Idol” named Ai Hoshino . But one fine day Hoshino appears at her office, however, saying that she is pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. But Idol doesn't want to have an abortion, she wants to have both children. Then Gorou promises her a safe birth. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure would result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's lap, Gorou discovers that he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , the newborn son of Ai! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversy, where talent doesn't always bring success.
Anyway , Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's Young Jump in 2020. Volume 11 of the manga launched on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
