Otoko-Zaka – Manga reaches the last arc

Manga creator Masami Kurumada concluded the "Honjin Shito-hen" arc of his Otoko-Zaka on the Shonen Jump+ app and website, with its sixth chapter being published on Saturday. The chapter's final page then revealed that the manga's next arc will be its last.

The arc will then be titled “Showa Sekigahara-hen.” The initial eight-chapter revival of Otoko-Zaka began on Shu Play News, the official website of Shueisha’s Weekly Playboy magazine, in June 2014, after a three-decade hiatus.

Synopsis

The story of Otoko-Zaka takes place in the city of Kujukuri, Chiba. Jingi Kikukawa is the unrivaled alpha male of the Toun High School student body, having never lost a fight in 13 years. However, he is defeated by Sho Takeshima, the leader of Western Japan who has his sights set on the entire country. Jingi undergoes dangerous training in the art of fighting with Kenka-Oni, a demon who lives in Oniyama.

Masami Kurumada first serialized the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1984 to 1985. He said, "I became a manga creator to draw this manga." However, the series remained incomplete at three volumes for about 30 years.
