Manga creator Masami Kurumada concluded the "Honjin Shito-hen" arc of his manga Otoko-Zaka on the Shonen Jump+ app and website, with its sixth chapter being published on Saturday. The chapter's final page then revealed that the manga's next arc will be the last.
The arc will then be titled “Showa Sekigahara-hen.” The initial eight-chapter revival of Otoko-Zaka began on Shu Play News, the official website of Shueisha's Weekly Playboy magazine, in June 2014, after a three-decade hiatus.
Synopsis
The story of Otoko-Zaka takes place in the city of Kujukuri in Chiba. Jingi Kikukawa is the undisputed alpha male of the Toun High School student body, and he has never lost a fight in 13 years. However, he falls in defeat against Sho Takeshima, the leader of Western Japan who has his eyes set on the entire country. Jingi undergoes dangerous training in the art of fighting with Kenka-Oni, a demon who lives in Oniyama
Masami Kurumada was the first to serialize the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1984 to 1985. He said, "I became a manga creator to draw this manga." However, the series remained incomplete at three volumes for about 30 years.
