The official website for the racing anime Overtake! has released a new trailer announcing its premiere date. The video reveals that the anime will premiere on Japanese television on October 1st.

Therefore, Overtake! is directed by Ei Aoki (Fate/Zero, Aldnoah.Zero) at the animation studio TROYCA. Script by Ayumi Sekine (IDOLiSH7 franchise, Technoroid Overmind) and character designs by Takako Shimura (Wandering Son, Aldnoah.Zero).

Synopsis

In the anime's story, freelance photographer Kōya Madoka finds himself in a period of stagnation for some reason. He goes to Fuji International Speedway to work on a story and there he meets a high school F4 driver, Haruka Asahina. Suddenly, he feels his heart race after a long time without feeling anything like it. With this, he begins to support Haruka and the young team "Komaki Motors" to help Haruka achieve her dreams.
