Announced in 2017, the new anime Patlabor franchise (Patlabor EZY) has gained news, including images, production cast and premiere date.

The project's pilot film will be shown alongside the screening of the 35th anniversary revival of Patlabor: The Movie, which will begin on September 20 and run for one week only.
Finally, GENCO unveiled the Patlabor EZY anime project in 2017, with a booth at the MIFA film market at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The project's pilot aired in August 2022.
