Announced in 2017, the new anime Patlabor franchise (Patlabor EZY) gained new features, including images, production cast and premiere date.

Therefore, Patlabor EZY was originally announced in 2017. However, we learned about the production cast involved. The anime will premiere in 2026.

The project's pilot film will be shown alongside the screening of the 35th anniversary revival of Patlabor: The Movie, which will begin on September 20th and run for just one week.
Finally, GENCO revealed the Patlabor EZY anime project in 2017, with a booth at the MIFA film market at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The project's pilot aired in August 2022.
