The classic anime Mobile Police Patlabor is back with a new cinematic project. Patlabor EZY will premiere in Japanese theaters starting May 15, 2026 three-part format released throughout the year and into early 2027.
- Hell's Paradise will not feature a romance between Gabimaru and Sagiri
- I.ADORE reveals visual style and premieres animations in January
In addition to the films, the anime is part of the so-called Project 2026 and will consist of eight episodes . Parts File 1 and File 2 present self-contained stories in episodic format. File 3 concludes the narrative with two connected episodes, delivering a more direct arc.

The story takes place in Japan in the 2030s. With the advancement of artificial intelligence, the old manned Labors have given way to autonomous machines. Even so, the Second Special Vehicle Division remains active, now using the AV-98Plus Ingram , an updated version of the classic mecha from the franchise.
The protagonist is Towa Kuga , a pilot on the Ingram, voiced by Sumire Uesaka . Impulsive and determined, she works alongside Kippei Atori , played by Kikunosuke Toya , who is responsible for the unit's tactical command.
The series is directed by Yutaka Izubuchi , who opts for independent episodes to recapture the original spirit of the show, without abandoning new ideas.
Release dates:
- File 1: May 15, 2026
- File 2: August 14, 2026
- File 3: March 2027
