Announced in 2017, the new anime franchise Patlabor (Patlabor EZY) has received new updates, including images, production cast, and a projected release date.

Therefore, Patlabor EZY was originally announced in 2017. However, we later learned about the production team involved. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2026.

The pilot film for the project will be shown alongside the 35th anniversary revival screening of Patlabor: The Movie, which will begin on September 20th and last for only one week.
Finally, GENCO revealed the Patlabor EZY anime project in 2017, with a booth at the MIFA film market during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The pilot episode aired in August 2022.
