Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise - Trailer and release date

The new film Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise got a new trailer this Monday (04). In addition, its official release date.

Therefore, the release takes place on December 5, 2025 with animation by the studio Shin-Ei Animation × Fugaku.

About Peleliu: Rakuen no Guernica

The story takes place during the summer of 1944, during the Battle of Peleliu , an island in Palau, a paradise of coral reefs. The battle, which took place during World War II between the US and Japan and lasted months, is still known today as the "most bitter battle in the history of the Marines."

The main character is Tamaru , a soldier who wants to become a manga creator and we follow his life during the battle.

The manga is the basis for the anime, and author Kazuyoshi Takeda is co-writing the film with Junji Nishimura , as well as Goro Kuji (Chained Soldier) directing the project.
