The reveal of Persona 6 marks the beginning of a new phase for the Atlus franchise. Since the release of Persona 5 in 2016, the series has garnered a significant global audience, driven by its combination of RPG elements, social simulation, and a narrative focused on the daily lives of the characters.

The success continued with Persona 5 Royal, an expanded version released in 2019 in Japan and subsequently distributed in other markets. This edition brought new content, characters, and improvements that helped to further solidify the brand's popularity.

Persona 4 Revival also gets a release date

In addition to the big news, Atlus also revealed Persona 4 Revival, a complete remake of the classic RPG originally released in 2008. The game will arrive on February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Game Pass, and PC via Steam.

While we await more news from Atlus, keep following AnimeNews to stay up-to-date on Japanese game, anime, and manga releases that are driving the otaku market.
