The Pokémon Company , along with the famous company Adidas, has partnered with the Japanese national soccer team to make Pikachu the new mascot for the 2014 World Cup , which will be held here in Brazil. The announcement was made during a special event hosted by the Japanese national team's sports equipment supplier.

What we do know is that the famous Pokémon Pikachu already appears on the Japanese national team's jersey, in addition to promoting and selling several products involving the Adidas and Pokémon brands, such as shirts, figures, and accessories.
