The announcement was made during a special event hosted by the Japanese national team's sports equipment supplier.

What we do know is that the famous Pokémon Pikachu already appears on the Japanese national team's jersey, in addition to promoting and selling several products involving the Adidas and Pokémon brands, such as shirts, figures, and accessories.
