Apparently, fans will be able to enjoy a new, uncensored version of the anime Plus-Sized Elf (Elf-san wa Yaserarenai). The official website states the following:

  • The “Regular Version” will begin broadcasting on July 6th (the official premiere date).
  • The “Potepote Version” will begin broadcasting on AT-X on July 8th.
  • The “Mecha Potepote Version” will begin broadcasting on the AnimeFesta streaming service on July 19th.

The website isn't clear about what each version consists of, and "Potepote (ぽてぽて)" is a word used to refer to "fat," which leaves a lot to interpretation. However, reviewing the source material reveals a significant number of scenes and shots focusing on the girls' crotch area. The uncensored version will likely show all of these animated frames, while the general audience-friendly version will hide these details.

Synopsis of Plus-Sized Elf

Naoe-kun, a masseuse, is about to head home at the end of the day when he's assigned to a rather strange patient. This lovely lady has green eyes, pointy ears, and grew up in the forest—everything about her screams "elf," except for one thing: her voluptuous body. It turns out she's left her world, but she loves junk food, and now her obsession has caught up with her. Can Naoe-kun help this adorable elf lose weight—and keep it off?

Therefore, after the manga migrated from Dokodemo Young Champion magazine to Akita Shoten, the first 7 volumes were re-released in June 2022.

Finally, the direction is by Toshikatsu Tokoro Elias animation studio (Kuro Gal ni Natta kara Shinyuu to shitemita).
