Netflix just announced today (14) the anime of PLUTO the acclaimed work by Naoki Urasawa x Osamu Tezuka ( Astro Boy ). According to information, the anime will premiere sometime in 2023.

Therefore, the series takes place in the universe of Tezuka's Astro Boy, centered on the story arc The Greatest Robot on Earth, and as a tribute to the arc's main villain.
Synopsis:
In the original mystery thriller story, we are introduced to Gesicht, a Europol detective who tries to solve a series of robot and human deaths.
The manga was published in Shogakukan's Big Comic Original magazine from 2003 to 2009, but with the chapters collected into eight tankōbon volumes. Ultimately, besides the homage to Astro Boy , Pluto is a police thriller set in a sci-fi world.
Furthermore, Maruyama has already adapted other manga by Naoki Urasawa , including the well-known Monster and Master Keaton , both produced by Madhouse .
