According to a post on the GameWorld , the character Ash from the nostalgic anime Pokémon will soon have a new voice actor in Brazil. Fábio Lucindo , who has voiced the character for over 15 years, commented in this interview that his client (Dubbing Studio) intends to replace him in the next season, thus dubbing only the current season (XY) and one more movie, before concluding and casting a new actor.
According to Lucindo, the reason may be the move to Portugal, which would imply some difficulties for the studio with the entire dubbing process involving him. According to GameWorld, he says he is very shaken by all this, as he is aware of other colleagues in the profession refusing to audition for the character's dubbing.
In addition to Ash, Lucindo has also voiced Krillin in Dragon Ball and Shinji in Evangelion.
