According to a post on the GameWorld , the character Ash from the nostalgic Pokémon will soon have a new voice actor here in Brazil. Fábio Lucindo, who has been voicing the character for over 15 years, commented in this interview that his client (Dubbing Studio) intends to replace him in the next season, thus dubbing only the current one (XY) and one more film, to conclude and cast a new actor.
For Lucindo, the reason may be the move to Portugal, which would have caused some difficulties for the studio during the entire voiceover process. According to GameWorld, he says he's very upset by all of this, as he's aware of other colleagues' refusals to audition for the character.
In addition to Ash, Lucindo has voiced Kuririn in Dragon Ball and Shinji in Evangelion.
