It was announced on the official Ingress YouTube channel that a closed BETA of Pokémon Go at the end of the year – winter 2015.

The project has been in development for two years by Niantic Labs, creator of Ingress which was recently associated with Google, in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company .

Like Ingress, Pokémon will be located by the GPS of mobile devices

 Similar to the Ingress app, Pokémon Go will use your real-world location via GPS to help you find and battle Pokémon around you.
