Gamescom Latam 2025, one of the world's largest gaming events, will feature a special appearance by Pokémon GO. The second edition of the event in Latin America will take place from May 1st to 4th in the Anhembi District of São Paulo and will feature an area dedicated to the franchise. Attendees will be able to enjoy interactive experiences, exclusive in-game challenges, and surprises prepared for the Brazilian public.

Pokémon GO will have immersive attractions and exclusive challenges
The Pokémon Area will have a complete structure, including PokéStops for players to recharge their phones and themed photo spots. Statues of the Team Leaders will also be on display, providing backdrops for fans to document their time at the event. Additionally, other lines of the franchise, such as the Pokémon Trading Card Game, will have demonstration areas.
Guests can participate in special activities, including interactions with members of Team GO Rocket, who will challenge players to Pokémon GO battles. Pokémon Professors will also be available to teach beginners how to play the Pokémon TCG, allowing more people to experience the trading card game.
Within the game, gamescom attendees will be able to access exclusive content, such as Timed Research, Collection Challenges, and rare Pokémon that will only appear at the event. These dynamics encourage interaction between Trainers and make the experience even more immersive.
Michael Steranka's presence and news for 2025
One of the highlights of the program will be Michael Steranka, Senior Director of Pokémon GO. In his first visit to Latin America, he will give a special presentation on the game's evolution and its concept of being "a game to be played forever." During the panel, Steranka will reveal new features for 2025 and share exclusive surprises for the Brazilian audience.
