Gamescom Latam 2025, one of the largest game events in the world, will have a special Pokémon GO participation. The second edition of the event in Latin America takes place from May 1st to 4th at the Anhembi district in São Paulo, and will feature an area dedicated to the franchise. Visitors will be able to take advantage of interactive experiences, exclusive challenges within the game and surprises prepared for the Brazilian public.
Pokémon GO will have immersive attractions and exclusive challenges
The Pokémon area will have a complete structure, including Poképaraddas for players to recharge their mobile phones and themed photos for photos. Team leaders statues will also be exposed, providing scenarios for fans to record their stint at the event. In addition, other franchise lines, such as illustrated prints, will have demonstration areas.
Visitors will be able to participate in special activities, including interactions with GO Rocket team members, who will challenge players for Pokémon GO battles. There will also be Pokémon teachers available to teach beginners how to play illustrated prints, allowing more people to know the collectible card game.
Within the game, Gamescom participants will be able to access exclusive content, such as temporary research, collection challenges and rare Pokémon that will only appear at the event. These dynamics encourage interaction between coaches and make the experience even more immersive.
Presence of Michael Steranka and news for 2025
One of the highlights of the program will be the participation of Michael Steranka, senior director of Pokémon GO. In his first visit to Latin America, he will make a special presentation about the evolution of the game and his concept of being "a game to be played forever." During the panel, Steranka will reveal news for 2025 and share unique surprises for the Brazilian public.
