The Pokémon Company will launch on May 29 the extradimensional crisis expansion for the Pokémon TCG Pocket game. The news will bring more than 100 unpublished letters, including Pokémon Ex and the enigmatic ultra beasts. The highlight goes to Kartana and Guzzlord ex, who promise to change the competitive scenario by challenging Darkrai's mastery ex, present in the main decks since the latest updates.
- Popicom arrives in June with adventure 3D cooperative
- Elden Ring will win a film directed by Alex Garland
In addition to the new letters, the expansion will feature thematic features such as exclusive binders and floral exhibitors, obtained through tickets. The proposal is to expand customization options and stimulate the assembly of new decks focused on monsters from the Alola region.
Kartana can break the hegemony of Darkrai ex in the tournaments in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Since it was introduced, Darkrai Ex has consolidated itself as a central piece in competitive decks. With powerful attacks and synergy with letters such as gratin ex, the dark type Pokémon dominated the PVP scenario. However, Kartana represents a real threat to this supremacy.
The new letter requires only one plant energy to cause 40 damage, which rises to 60 when the opponent has weakness to the plant type, as is the case of Darkrai Ex. Thus, this low cost and the direct impact make Kartana a valuable resource in strategic clashes.
Combined with letters such as Leaf Cape, which offers additional resistance, and Erika, which recovers hit points, Kartana adapts well to decidueye ex -based decks, already considered versatile in recent seasons.
Guzzorde Ex defies strategies centered on energy accumulation
Another highlight of the new expansion is Guzzlord ex, who uses the Grindcore attack to remove energy from the opponent. In addition, this ability can destabilize decks that depend on the gradual construction of power, especially those that use Giratine Ex as offensive support.
By reducing the opponent's attacking capacity, Guzzlord Ex can redefine the dynamics of ranked matches. Specialized forums already discuss their potential to contain dominant strategies and make room for more varied compositions.
Expansion expands Alola's repertoire and offers exclusive items in the game
Extradimensional Crisis also marks the return of Pokémon from the Alola region and the null -type debut in the TCG pocket. Players will be able to unlock an exclusive ultra beast design binder and use a new floral exhibitor to display their favorite cards.
These items will be available through tickets and special events, between June 11 and 28. The update strengthens the game's proposal to maintain a visually engaging and rewarding experience.
