Pokémon TCG Pocket, the mobile trading card game, will receive one of its most anticipated features this month: the trading system. The new mechanic will allow friends to exchange cards with each other, following specific rules to maintain game balance.

How the exchange system will work
The main requirement for trading cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket is in-game friendship. Players can only trade with each other if they've previously added each other to their friends list. Additionally, cards must be of the same rarity, preventing common items from being traded for more valuable versions.
Another important point is that exchanges will require the use of an in-game resource, possibly Poké Gold, a virtual currency used in various transactions within the platform. However, this decision appears to have been made to balance the game's economy and generate additional revenue for the developer.
Trading restrictions and cards allowed in Pokémon TCG Pocket
The feature will initially launch with some limitations. The game will only allow trading of certain cards from the Genetic Domination and Mythic Island , but promises to add more sets in the future.
Players will be able to trade cards with rarities ranging from 1 to 4 diamonds and 1 star , following the developer's guidelines. Lower rarity cards, such as two diamonds or crowns, will not be available for trading at this initial stage.
Community Expansion and Feedback
The Pokémon Company and DeNA, the game's developers, have announced that the system may undergo adjustments based on community feedback. Player feedback will be crucial for future updates, including possible relaxation of trading rules.
Additionally, a new booster pack is scheduled for release this month, expanding the game's card pool. With these new features, Pokémon TCG Pocket is expected to maintain high engagement and continue attracting fans of the popular collectible card game.
