During a local Japanese TV program, Pokémon Smash, Pokémon anime was announced , with reference to the Pokémon XY game. In the video, in addition to Ash and Pikachu, the three initial Pokémon from the Kalos region (Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie) also appear, along with Professor Sycamore.

Synopsis: Ash will continue as the protagonist along with Pikachu. The two will travel to the city of Lumiose (Miare) which is in the center of the Kalos region. Upon their arrival, they will encounter never-before-seen Pokémon and make new friends. Ash will continue his journey to become a Pokémon master and will do anything to compete in the famous Kalos league.
A new poster for the anime has also been released!
