This past week the Japanese website AnimeAnime! released a ranking of the most popular anime January 2022 season.
The vote had a similar number of votes between men and women , so we can say that none of them prevailed over the other.

1. Place – Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru
Synopsis: Traumatized by a childhood incident with a friend who resented his love of dolls, hopeful doll craftsman Wakana Gojou spends his days lonely in high school, until he meets a girl named Kitagawa Marin.
2. Place – Shingeki no Kyojin: Final Season Part 2
Synopsis: In a world where humanity lives within cities surrounded by three enormous walls that protect them from the human-eating Titans, the story follows Eren Yeager , who vows to exterminate the Titans after one of them causes the destruction of his hometown and the death of his mother.
3. Place – Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 3rd Season (Draw)
Synopsis: Student Nishikata is made a fool of by his neighbor, Takagi . With his pride in pieces, he vows to turn the tables and take revenge on her one day.
3. Place – Heike Monogatari (Draw)
Synopsis: The story follows the rise and fall of the Taira during the Genpei , showing the events through the perspective of Biwa , a blind minstrel who meets Taira no Shigemori , one of the clan's heirs. He has supernatural vision capable of seeing ghosts, and after encountering Biwa , he hears a prophecy from her that announces the end of his clan.
4. Place – Sasaki to Miyano
Synopsis: Miyano is a student who is fascinated by romantic stories between boys. After a chance meeting with Sasaki , the two form an unusual friendship around the romances that he tries at all costs to hide from his friends.
5. Place – Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku
Synopsis: The story takes place in a prestigious high school for girls in the country. Akebi Komichi always dreamed of wearing his school sailor uniform. A girl's “dream” life as a high school student finally begins. Time for youth flows slowly. Country life plus high school life and sailor clothes. “Will I be able to make a hundred friends?”
6. Place – JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean
Synopsis: The story of Stone Ocean is a continuation of part 5 and follows Jolyne Cujoh , daughter of Jotaro Kujo . After Jolyne is accused of murder and sent to prison, she will need to face a former follower of Dio while trying to prove her innocence.
7. Place – Vanitas no Carte
Synopsis: The story follows a vampire named Noah , who is looking for a way to save his friend. He travels to Paris to find The Book of Vanitas , which is said to be able to save the vampires, however, this ends up leading him to a confrontation that puts the peace between humans and vampires at risk.
Therefore, the ranking is of animes that are airing on Japanese TV , which is why Jojo’s must have made it onto this list, as it debuted in December on Netflix. The old ranking had 10 animes , but was reduced to 8.
