Last week, the Japanese website AnimeAnime! released a ranking of the most popular anime January 2022 season

The vote had a similar number of votes between men and women so we can say that neither outweighed the other.

Check out the most popular anime of the winter 2022 season:

1. Place – Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru

Sono Bisque Doll

Synopsis: Traumatized by a childhood incident with a friend who resented his love of dolls, hopeful dollmaker Wakana Gojou spends his days in high school as a loner, until he meets a girl named Kitagawa Marin.

2. Place – Shingeki no Kyojin: Final Season Part 2

Shingeki no Kyojin

Synopsis: In a world where humanity lives within cities surrounded by three enormous walls that protect them from the human-eating creatures called Titans, the story follows Eren Yeager , who vows to exterminate the Titans after one of them causes the destruction of his hometown and the death of his mother.

3. Place – Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 3rd Season (Draw)

3rd Place – Heike Monogatari (TIE)

Synopsis: The story follows the rise and fall of the Taira during the Genpei , shown through the perspective of Biwa , a blind minstrel who meets Taira no Shigemori , one of the clan's heirs. He possesses supernatural vision capable of seeing ghosts, and after encountering Biwa , he hears from her a prophecy that announces the end of his clan.

4. Place – Sasaki to Miyano

Sasaki to Miyano

Synopsis: Miyano is a student fascinated by romantic stories between boys. After a chance encounter with Sasaki , the two form an unusual friendship centered around the romances he tries at all costs to hide from his friends.

5. Place – Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku

Synopsis: The story takes place at a prestigious all-girls high school in the country. Akebi Komichi has always dreamed of wearing the school's sailor uniform. 6. Location – JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean

Jojo's Stone Ocean

Synopsis: Stone Ocean is a continuation of Part 5 and follows Jolyne Cujoh , daughter of Jotaro Kujo . After Jolyne is accused of murder and sent to prison, she must face a former follower of Dio while trying to prove her innocence.

7. Place – Vanitas no Carte

Vanitas no Carte

Synopsis: The story follows a vampire named Noé , who is searching for a way to save his friend. He travels to Paris to find The Book of Vanitas , which is said to be able to save vampires. However, this ends up leading him to a confrontation that threatens the peace between humans and vampires.

Therefore, the ranking is based on anime currently airing on Japanese TV , so JoJo's must have made it onto this list, as it premiered on in December . The previous ranking included 10 anime , but it was reduced to 8.
