Therefore, the premiere will take place on August 22, 2024. The film tells the story adapted from the manga, divided into two parts, based on the final Stars arc of Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeuchi .
Synopsis Sailor Moon Cosmos:
Months after defeating the Dead Moon Circus, Sailor Moon and her friends continue their peaceful lives as high school students in the Azabu-Jūban district of Minato, Tokyo. Usagi's boyfriend, Mamoru Chiba, plans to study in the United States, but mysteriously disappears at the local airport shortly after proposing to Usagi. Unable to cope with the loss, Usagi suppresses the memory of this tragic event.
Finally, “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos” is a direct continuation of Sailor Moon Eternal (2021), serving as a “fifth and final season” of the Sailor Moon Crystal anime.
Furthermore, both parts of the film are directed by Tomoya Takahashi and written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu; it is also co-produced by Toei Animation and Studio Deen and distributed by Toei Company.
