Preview of the new Fairy Tail DVD

This Wednesday, Kodansha began streaming the promotional trailer for the new OAD (Original Video Animation) that will be released alongside volume 38 of the Fairy Tail manga. This animation will be based on chapter 298 of the manga, titled "Dokidoki Ryuzetsu Land ." Series creator Hiro Mashima himself stated that this animation will be sexier than the anime. The story takes place during the third night of the Grand Magic Games, when several guilds gather at the Ryuzetsu Land pool to have fun. The Fairy Tail anime production team will reunite for the production of this DVD, which will be directed by Shinji Ishihara, written by Masashi Sogo, with character design by Aoi Yamamoto, and animated by A-1 Pictures and Satelight. The set will be released on July 17th.
