Princess Principal: Crown Handler – New video reveals the release date of the 3rd film

Princess Principal: Crown Handler film trilogy revealed a promotional video on Sunday for the third film.

The video reveals that the film will be released in Japan starting April 7, 2023.

Along with the video, the image below was made public:

Masaki Tachibana (Barakamon, .hack//Quantum) is returning from the previous television series to direct the films at studio Actas . Noboru Kimura (Gundam Build Divers, Solty Rei) is supervising and writing the scripts.

Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Kino's Journey, Sky Girls) is still credited with the character designs, while Yukie Akiya (Celestial Method, Code:Breaker) adapted the designs for animation. Additionally, Kimitake Nishio (Moetan, ToHeart2) is also designing characters for the films and is credited as the sole chief animation director. Finally, Yuki Kajiura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero) is returning to compose the music with sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami .

Synopsis

The Empire is increasing counter-espionage efforts following the incident, and sees Control, the Commonwealth group in charge of covert operations against the Empire, as uneasy and suspicious of its spy within the royal family as a double agent. Control assigns its spy ring Dove a new mission: to extract the owner of a secondhand bookstore and deliver him into the hands of the Commonwealth.

The first film premiered in February 2021. Furthermore, it was originally scheduled to premiere in April 2020, but the film's production committee delayed its release due to the COVID-19 . The second film premiered in Japan in September 2021.
