Editora Abril 's fan page that due to the success of the first manga series Kingdom Hearts , which adapts the first game in the franchise, new series will be launched. The publisher acquired the publishing rights in Brazil for all manga titles. The new volumes will be released throughout 2014. The first miniseries, which adapts the game Kingdom Hearts for PlayStation 2, began to be published in May of this year by Abril in four editions.
Sales were so far above expectations that volume 1 had to be reprinted because it was sold out. The manga mixes characters from the Disney universe with those from Final Fantasy. The game was so successful that it spawned several sequels. This year, a remastered HD version called Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix , bringing together 3 games from the series. For next year, Square-Enix has already confirmed the production of the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III .
