The official website for the anime Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story announced that the second season of the anime will premiere on July 31. The website also revealed that the third and final season will premiere in late 2021.

Synopsis
The story of the original game, a spinoff of the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica, takes place in the flourishing city of Kamihama. Guided by a strange power, magical girls gather in this city and fight with a new power drawn from witches. Iroha Tamaki arrives in this city and joins other magical girls to search for her missing younger sister, Ui. Before long, Homura Akemi also arrives in the city. "If I can understand the mystery of this city, maybe I can save Kaname."
The first season of the anime premiered on January 4, 2020. Funimation , Crunchyroll , and HIDIVE streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
Staff
Gekidan Inu Curry (Doroinu) is serving as chief director and script supervisor. Yukihiro Miyamoto returns as assistant director. Junichiro Taniguchi returns as chief animation director and now also as character designer. Takumi Ozawa will compose the soundtrack while Puella Magi Madoka Magica Akiyuki Simbo returns as animation supervisor. Studio SHAFT is producing the anime.
Finally, the game was released for iOS and Android devices in August 2017 and is free to play with optional in-game purchases. Additionally, a manga adaptation was released in August 2018, and a stage play adaptation featuring members of the idol group Keyakizaka46 ran from August to September 2018.
