My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

Re:Zero fans . The mobile game Re:Zero Witch's Re:surrection will officially shut down on May 30, 2025 , at 2 PM (Japan time). With this announcement, the sale of rainbow crystals—the game's premium currency—has also been deactivated.

The title, released on August 26, 2024 , will barely be nine months old. Despite featuring Konomi Suzuki , famous for singing several anime opening themes, and who also performed the game's main theme, "Resurrection," the RPG failed to maintain public interest.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case. Other games in the franchise, such as Re:Zero Lost in Memories and the browser game Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu: Kinsho to Nazo no Seirei, also failed and were discontinued. Thus, even with the continued success of the anime and light novels, the games in the series seem to follow a cycle of promising releases and premature closures.

On Japanese social media, fans reacted with a mixture of frustration and resignation. Many had already expected the game to end, while others lamented the lack of accessibility and its short lifespan.

Will the franchise try again in the gaming universe? Or is it time to call it a game over? Finally, for more updates on anime, manga, and the otaku world, keep following AnimeNew .
