Tatsunoko Production 's Twitter account announced that the new anime, Yozakura Quartet ~ Hana no Uta, will be released in October, the tweet was deleted a few hours later. This anime will not be a continuation of the first version, but rather a remake that will incorporate new elements into the story. The anime will feature the same cast as the first anime and the Yozakura Quartet ~ Tsuki ni Naku OVA. The production team will not be the same as the 2008 anime, but it will be the same as the OVA Yozakura Quartet ~ Tsuki ni Naru. Ryo-timo will be responsible for the direction and character design of the characters, his assistant director will be Kyotaka Suzuki (Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo), while the anime script will be handled by Manabu Ishikawa .

The OVA Yozakura Quartet ~ Tsuki ni Naru will be available alongside volumes 14, 15 and 16 of Suzuhito Yasuda's manga around September 9th.
