The second season of Reincarnated as a Sword ( Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita ) has received a new promotional video and confirmed its premiere for October. The anime adapts the light novel by Yuu Tanaka, with illustrations by LLO, and will be simulcast on the HIDIVE .
In the story, the protagonist is reborn as a magic sword with memories of the past, but without his name. He meets Fran, a girl with cat ears, and decides to help her grow stronger after freeing her from slavery.
The first season premiered in October 2022, initially airing on Tokyo MX and streaming early on the ABEMA service. The main cast returns, including Ai Kakuma as Fran and Shinichiro Miki as the Master.
Director Shinji Ishihira, known for works such as Fairy Tail and Log Horizon , returns to studio C2C. Takahiro Nagano supervises the scripts, while Atsuko Saito is responsible for character design.
Reincarnated as a Sword is a fantasy light novel that began in 2015 on the Shosetsuka ni Narou website. Physical publication began in 2016 by Gentosha Publishing, and the work also received a manga by Tomowo Maruyama.
In addition, the franchise received a spin-off titled Another Wish , illustrated by Hinako Inoue, which concluded in 2023. Finally, the series also has English versions and recently released audiobooks.
