After some posts on Facebook , Resident Evil 2 is really going to happen. The news was confirmed by the title's producer, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi , through a video posted on the Resident Evil YouTube .
Hirabayashi, credited with leading the remasters of Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 0, confirmed that the project was approved following overwhelming support from the series' fanbase. The producer made a point of emphasizing that research and development division 1 will do its best to listen to the public's requests and deliver the experience that everyone wants.
