After several posts on Facebook , Resident Evil 2 is really happening. The news was confirmed by the game's producer, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi , through a video posted on the Resident Evil YouTube .
Hirabayashi, credited with leading the remasters of Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 0, confirmed that the project was approved after strong support from the series' fanbase. The producer emphasized that Division 1 research and development will do everything possible to listen to the public's requests and deliver the experience everyone wants.
