It was revealed through Sony's official channel that 8 minutes of the CGI film Resident Evil: Death Island were released . Therefore, the film will be released on Blu-ray, 4K UHD, and Digital on July 25th.

Eiichir Hasumi is directing the film, while Makoto Fukami is writing the screenplay. Additionally, the announced staff includes Rei Kondo, responsible for the film's music, and CG director Tomohiro Shimizu.
Resident Evil: Death Island is the sequel to the film Resident Evil: Vendetta, which was shown in theaters in the United States and Canada in June 2017. The film premiered in Japanese theaters in May 2017, and is the third CG animated film for the franchise, following Resident Evil: Degeneration from 2008 and Resident Evil: Damnation from 2012.
Synopsis
DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from his kidnappers when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all recently visited Alcatraz Island. Following this clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.
Finally, the premiere took place on July 7th in Japan .
