The famous gaming website IGN made a comparison video between the GameCube version of Resident Evil: Remake and the PS4 version of RE: HD Remaster. Hirabayashi said that the goal with this remaster is to bring back the original HD experience of [Resident Evil]. The pacing and flow of the original game are an inherent part of its terrifying atmosphere, so we made the decision not to interrupt this tempo.
As previously announced, the Resident Evil HD Remaster game will arrive in its HD version for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC in early 2015. In Europe and the Americas, the title will be released exclusively digitally.
Japan is also included in the digital releases, but exclusively in that territory, CAPCOM will release special editions of Resident Evil HD Remaster on disc for the PlayStation 3.
