Netflix for Resident Evil series this week on its press website . Several websites had already reported the information a few weeks ago.
It has also been suggested that the series should feature a new plot, rather than adapting the stories shown in the games.

The city of Clearfield, Maryland, has long been under the shadow of three seemingly unrelated giants—the Umbrella Corporation, the decommissioned Greenwood Asylum, and the capital, Washington, D.C. Today, 26 years after the discovery of the T-Virus, the secrets guarded by these three will begin to be revealed with the first signs of contamination.
The Resident Evil series does not yet have a release date.

Finally, despite the information being leaked on the company's official press website, Netflix representatives did not confirm anything about the production of the series and the synopsis was soon taken down.”
