
The story revolves around first-year high school student Mana Shikimiya (Amane Makino) as she pursues her dreams of winning the Prism Stage, the competition that determines the top idol of the high school.

Re:Stage! Dream Days is being directed by Shin Katagai (My Sweet Tyrant, Neo Angelique Abyss) at Yumeta Company and Graphinica. Motohiro Taniguchi (Yuruyuri San Hai!, My Sweet Tyrant) is designing the characters based on original designs by Tsubasa Izumi (Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka, Mashiroiro Symphony – The color of lovers), who illustrated the novels in the franchise. The writing team for the novels, yoree, is responsible for the series composition. The main idol group from the story, KiRaRe, performs the anime's opening theme song, "Don't think, smile!"
The anime will premiere on MX Tokyo on July 7th, and on BS Fuji on July 9th. The anime will have 12 episodes.
The project has already spawned a serialized novel in Kadokawa's monthly Comptiq magazine, a smartphone app, concerts, events, and music CDs.
