According to the official website for the anime Shokugeki no Soma , the 5th season of the anime, which had been on hiatus, will return on July 3 , 2020.
It's worth remembering that Shokugeki No Souma had already suffered a delay in mid-April .
And like many other projects, the reason for the postponement was also due to the COVID-19 .
Synopsis:
The anime Shokugeki no Soma revolves around Yukihira Soma, a high school student determined to surpass his father in culinary skills. One day, his father decides to close their family restaurant and hone his culinary abilities in Europe. The 5th season was named Shokugeki no Souma: Go no Sara , with the word "Go" referencing the number 5 in Japanese.
Finally, season 4 premiered on October 11, 2019 on Crunchyroll .
