Many anime are currently getting live-action adaptations, so the Japanese have hypothesized that Demon Slayer will also get a film or series soon. However, they questioned whether Koyoharu Gotouge, the manga's author, would be involved in this adaptation.

A Japanese critic noted that anime film adaptations like The First Slam Dunk and Detective Conan were box office successes thanks to the involvement of the original authors. Therefore, it would be possible to achieve good results in live-action by following the same process. For example, Eiichiro Oda is the executive producer of Netflix's live-action One Piece , and its first trailer has already made a good impression on audiences.
However, many productions ignore the original actor's involvement in the project, as was the case with the live-action Orange . Ichigo Takano , the author of Orange, disagreed with the film's producers, so she asked fans not to associate the live-action version with her manga.
There are many companies interested in adapting Demon Slayer, but Koyoharu Gotouge may not be involved because she doesn't make public appearances and appears to have retired since the end of her manga. Therefore, the author's involvement would be crucial to creating a faithful adaptation.
Synopsis:
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro must travel to the Blacksmith Village to forge a new sword, as his old one has been damaged. However, along the way, he encounters new demons sent by Muzan, the main villain, with a mission to kill the blacksmiths. Without the blacksmiths, the hunters will have no swords to fight the demons. So Tanjiro and his friends must fight the demons of the Upper Moons again to stop them.
Thus, the first season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , becoming a hit with the film. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021, in Japan. Finally, the third season premiered on Crunchyroll following the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
